Denali National Park - home of Mount McKinley (6194m), the highest point of North America, Grizzly bears and unique ecosystem with three kinds of natural environment. Taiga, tundra and the alpine sector. During the short summer season you can experience all four seasons in couple of weeks. Following pictures illustrate the change of land in the area of Polychrome Pass. First picture was made on 6th August 2009. The second one month later on 15th September.

Next two pictures from the same spot are made probably during the most beautiful time in Denali - the beginning of September. Colours are brightly purple, red, yellow. However, these conditions are very unstable and with the first freezing and snowfall you can enjoy this incredible art of nature just few days in year. If you are late, you see the country from Picture 2 reminding more dry subtropical areas than rainy Alaska.
